|MISSION | VISION | CALLING:
|Micah Circle doing justice, loving mercy, and walking humbly with our God by serving our community’s needs both locally and globally through direct action and education.
|WHAT’S HAPPENING NOW?
|Our next meeting will be on Monday, April 6th at 12:30. As we will have just moved our offices, we are not yet sure of the location. Please contact Pastor Laura for those details. As always, we continue to pray about how we can embody our Matthew 25 commitment and invite you to join with us by lifting up the prayer below.
December 5, 2019
After a busy fall where Micah Circle members participated in a community action around housing justice focused on gentrification and racism and how that affects affordable housing, we are allowing the Spirit to redefine our mission and purpose. During Advent, we committed to praying the following prayer in our ongoing discernment of where God is calling us to act, particularly around our new status as a Matthew 25 congregation. We invite all who wish to join us in prayer: Gracious God, put us where you want us and show us what to do. As a Matthew 25 church, guide us in speaking truth in love, open our hearts to discern God’s particular call to each of us, and show us how to respond to the needs of the community in concrete ways. Amen.
Our members continue to work on issues ranging from hunger to refugees to homelessness. Increasingly, Micah Circle is becoming a place for all of us who are doing hands-on ministry to come, be replenished up, pray for each other, and deepen our own faith so that we can provide a clearer channel for God’s love to the world around us.
If you feel inspired to join us, please do. Because of the holiday season, please check the website calendar for our next get together.
