The Reverend Deborah Fae Swift, Pastor
Pastor Deb came to South in 2008 following successful careers in music education and community organizing.
She lives in the city as a single mom, gardener, and warrior for justice and joy. A graduate of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School, the State University of New York, and Hartwick College, she is a composer-author member of ASCAP, textbook author, and frequent speaker in the area of church transformation in the 21st century. Her latest book, The Church Has Left the Building, is a case-study workbook for those seeking a way to think outside the box in meeting the challenges of being the church of Jesus Christ in today’s world.
